Ol Tukai Lodge

Chalet lodge · Ol Tukai, in the centre of the park · Manrik Hotels & Lodges

Mid-range Inside the park Safari company

The other big lodge inside Amboseli, in the Ol Tukai area at the centre of the park, run by the Kenyan group Manrik Hotels & Lodges. Its 80 chalet rooms all face the wetlands or Kilimanjaro, two are built to EU accessibility standards, and there is a pool, a spa and WiFi. The 2026 rack card is the most transparent in the park: $380 for a double on full board in April and May, $190 each, rising to $650 in the June to October peak. The lodge lists night game drives, bird walks, Maasai village visits and an elephant research talk, and sells packages from the SGR station at Emali. Choose it for a central base at a published price; skip it if you want a small camp.

What the park charges on top

The rate above buys you a bed. Amboseli National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.

Park entryThe non-resident rate, per entry of up to 24 hours, flat all year since 1 October 2025.
$90per person, per day
VehicleKSh 600 a day for a car under six seats, about $4.60 at KSh 129.45 to the dollar.
$5per vehicle, per day

Three nights means three days inside, so two adults sharing one vehicle pay $555 in park fees before anyone pays for a bed.

Leaving the park and driving back in buys a new ticket, so a lodge outside the gate can mean more fee days than nights.

Rates at Ol Tukai Lodge

From $190 pppn. 2026 non-resident rack, full board per room per night (rate card dated 6 August 2026): low season, 1 April to 31 May, $380 double, which is $190 each, and $280 single; high season, 3 January to 31 March and 1 November to 23 December, $580 double; peak, 1 June to 31 October, Easter and 24 December to 2 January 2027, $650 double. The ground package adds two game drives a day and airstrip transfers, from $385 per person for the first night and $320 for extra nights in low season, with a $130 single supplement. 'Park fee not included', so add the KWS conservation fee of $90 per non-resident adult per day (October 2025 card).

Full board. Meals are included; drinks, activities and park fees are not.

Every figure on this page is in US dollars.

Rates checked on 4 October 2026 from each property's own website or rate card and from KWS's October 2025 conservation-fee card and 2025 Mbugani Homes rate card. Angama's 2026 rate comes from an archived copy of its rate page (captured August 2025), because the live site blocks automated reading. None of the figures is a reseller or agent rate; where a property publishes nothing, the entry says Rates on request, and the Budget, Mid-range or Top-end label then follows the style the property describes rather than a price. Booking.com was not checked for any property. Watch the basis: most camps quote per person sharing, the KWS units per unit and Kibo Villa per villa, and the KWS conservation fee of $90 per non-resident adult per day (October 2025 card) is extra almost everywhere, plus conservancy fees at the conservancy camps.

Questions about Ol Tukai Lodge

Is Ol Tukai Lodge good for families?

Yes, and it says so in figures: children under 3 stay free, and children aged 3 to 11 sharing with their parents pay 50% of the full-board rate, or 70% on the ground package, according to the lodge's 2026 rate card. Rooms are twins, and the card lists triple rates from $500 a night in low season.

Does the Ol Tukai rate include park fees?

No. The 2026 rack card states 'Park fee not included' on both the full-board rate and the ground package. Add the KWS conservation fee of $90 per non-resident adult and $45 per child per day under the October 2025 card.

Can you reach Ol Tukai Lodge without a car?

Yes. The ground package includes return transfers from Amboseli airstrip (inside the park; KWS calls it Kimana airstrip) and two game drives a day, and the lodge also sells a package from the SGR train station at Emali.
