Climate figures are Open-Meteo climate normals (1991 to 2020) for temperature, with monthly rainfall scaled to the 346.5 mm annual mean measured at the Amboseli research station from 1976 to 2000 (Altmann et al. 2002, African Journal of Ecology), because the gridded models overstate Amboseli's rain several times over, taken at -2.64, 37.315. The wildlife column is ours, from the sources on the best time to visit page. Averages hide bad years: a dry January still happens, and so does a wet July.
